We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our Database Team in our Lahore Office.

• As a database administrar, you will be responsible primarily responsible for the maintenance and performance of databases, to ensure the availability and optimal performance.
• This includes proven track record of writing SQL DDL and DML.

What will you do?

Job Role and Duties:

• Strong proficiency in MySQL and Document database management. 
• Managing large scale MySQL databasess and high transaction volume.
• Experience with Replication and Cluster configuration in MySQL. 
• Hands on experience with designing and implementing database replication strategies.
• Knowledge of MySQL Enterprise Edition would prefer.
• Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQL.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front-end users.
• Maintain an optimized SQL environment, health monitoring and housekeeping.
• Maintain data standards, including adherence to all Privacy laws.
• Ensure database security, including backups and recovery.
• Script and maintain test and demonstration datasets.
• Automate archival and / or obfuscation of old data.
• Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.
• Production support, problem diagnosis, problem resolution.
• Ability to work independently, are flexible, self-motivated and a team player.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Database Administration.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer science.
• Demonstrable experience as a Database Administrator. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• Exceptional ability to work with cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, edge devices, IoT, KPIs and analytics, and similar concepts.
• Experience in material handling systems or similar industry would be an asset.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

About Schedule!

Working Hours and Schedule:

• 40 plus hours per week - Must be willing to work overlapping hours as needed
• Monday to Friday
