Job Description:

1.       Maintaining the fixed assets register

2.       Updating the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.

3.       Assigning tag numbers to fixed assets

4.       Recording fixed assets acquisition and dispositions in the accounting system

5.       Reconciling the balance in the fixed assets subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.

6.       Conducting periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets

7.       Preparing audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assisting the auditors in their inquiries.

8.       Book-keeping of transactions. Preparation of vouchers, related to fixed assets and donations.

9.       Issuing donation receipts with a letter of thanks to the donor.

10.   Maintaining the donor register.

11.   Coordinating with donors and responding to their requirements in a timely manner.

12.   Filing and clerical work on a daily basis

13.   Preparing attachments for quarterly reports for further consolidations

14.   Liaising with Senior Finance Officer to consolidate the quarterly reports.

15.   Liaising with the Senior Finance Officer for preparation of budgets.

16.   Providing support for the preparation of final accounts and for follow ups for related documents.

17.   Any other assignment given by the immediate supervisor or department head

Reaching out to the remotest areas of the country, AKES,P has been providing quality education in the region for the past 110 years. It is a direct provider of education for nearly 36,000 students from pre-primary to higher secondary levels and facilitates access to higher education through the provision of scholarships, hostels and other educational support services.With more than 2,000 employees, of whom over 1,500 areteachers, AKES,P is also supported by over 2,000 volunteers.

In Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, the first AKES,P schools were setup in the 1940s; since then they have contributed significantly toincreasing the literacy rates and social development in theremote, mountainous, harsh and ecologically fragile regions ofNorthern Pakistan. AKES,P currently operates 151 schools inGilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, providing education to over 27,000students, of which 54% are girls. Through these efforts, AKES,Pis continuing to play a critical role in women’s development inthe region.

In the Southern Region, AKES,P operates four schools in Karachi,three in Hyderabad and rural Sindh and one in Hafizabad,Punjab, with over 8,900 students. All AKES,P schools follow theNational Curriculum but place special emphasis on the teachingof English, Mathematics, Science and the increasing use ofInformation and Communication Technologies (ICT).
