Our video editor will be instrumental in the growing video output at Afiniti. The Afiniti Creative Team takes on a multitude of work, therefore you need to have an in-depth understanding of the editing and VFX software. However, we are not looking for video technician, you need to also have your finger on the pulse of what is changing the world of videography.  Afiniti is not a follower, it is a leader, and part of this role will be defining how companies articulate the world of AI in business.  The best candidates would share creative with their team on a daily basis, be ingesting at least an hour of content a day and iterating and rendering something new for the team regularly to maintain personal and collective creative potency. You will work the afiniti team to bring something special to the work being created by those at afiniti. You will:

-   Managing the internal edits of film sequences and shots

-    Overseeing ingestion and processing of incoming video material

-   Create all vfx for halo videos, lead sales video creation and tend to all client video editing.

-    Running Management and Creative Team screening review sessions

-   Work closely with the Creative Director on briefs as well as bringing your own briefs to the table.

-   Creating in-house reels including annual company reels, show reels, technical breakdowns, and awards reels

Qualifications

-   5+ years previous experience in an editorial environment, preferably in visual effects

-   Proven organizational experience

-   Have strong opinions based on design experience, but be open to development and discussion.

-   Ability to work under pressure

-   Experience with Linux

-    Basic understanding of color science

-    Extensive knowledge of Avid, Premiere, and Nuke

-    Experienced with After Effects

-   Previous experience creating effects assets in 3ds Max, Maya or Unreal Cascade

-   Experience with a variety of film and HD formats

-    Strong technical background and experience

-    Experienced in maintaining quality control standards and visual polish for performance and optimization

-    Cross discipline collaboration and communication. A strong team player working with designers, artist, programmers and other developers to create compelling effects that astonish

-    Fluent in English (written and spoken) and the ability to communicate complex and ephemeral creative ideas simply and clearly to a international creative team.
